Dipping my toes into the world of artificial intelligence, I divined a new series of paintings which I am calling Postcards from Mid Journey.

Each image which I have used as a visual jumping off point, was imagined in partnership with a ‘bot.’

These imagined landscapes are much larger than the 3x5 inch postcards we are used to.

I supplied several prompts including French beaches, seaside promenades, palm trees, afternoon shadows, tents or umbrellas. I also added that they be in the style of Manet, Courbet, Dufy, Degas and other impressionists and expressionist painters.
