New Mexico Color
In 2020 we moved to New Mexico from France. The land, the sky and the feel of this place brought me back to Africa - panoramic views that reminded me of the mountain pass from Johannesburg to Durban. The Drakensburg mountains hedged around like our beautiful Sandia Mountains right in our back yard.
The mountains here are so filled with color; changing not just in the seasons but every day. The sun in the evenings can often turn the mountains bright orange -pink hence the name Sandia meaning watermelon.
These works reflect my gratitude and sheer joy to have found myself here.
