These colourful, strangely nostalgic landscapes are places which only existed in my imagination, captured in a moment in time, never to be seen again.

My idea, as with my previous postcard projects, was to create a place that might be considered ideal or surreal - a place to escape to, fantastical and curious. Isn’t that what we want in an escape or getaway?

Each painting was also created in a manner similar to famous artists like Courbet, Degas, Manet and other impressionists.
